In a series of UKCCSRC workshops held over four days in January-February 2022, representatives from Shell, Petrofac and Wood, amongst others, identified future research needs across the Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) value chain.
Energy industry professionals explored different aspects of the sector, including capture, storage, transport, policy and environmental impacts. Common issues included storage and transportation economics and flexibility, dense phase CO2, pressure management and policy changes.
The annual series of workshop builds on the previous years’ findings and looks to identify the future research needs across the UK.
